The task of winning the battle against poverty is arduous, especially in some deep poverty-stricken areas with long-term poor natural conditions, extreme lack of resources, frequent natural disasters, fragile ecological environment and lack of industrial support. The people have a low level of education, the traditional mode of production and lifestyle have not been fundamentally changed, the awareness of market economy is weak, the awareness of the rule of law is weak, and spiritual poverty and material poverty are intertwined, The long-term poverty has objectively further encouraged some people's backward ideas of "waiting, relying and wanting". "True socialism can not only be understood as the high development of productive forces, but also must have a highly developed spiritual civilization. On the one hand, we should enable the people to live a relatively prosperous life, and on the other hand, we should improve the people's ideological and moral level and scientific and cultural level. This is the true meaning of getting rid of poverty and becoming rich.". Therefore, to win the battle against poverty and achieve sustainable development, we need not only material poverty, but also spiritual poverty. Especially at the key time point of the battle against poverty, only cadres and the people at all levels can win the battle with sincere unity and action.
At present, most rural areas have basically achieved material poverty alleviation. To further develop and move towards a higher level of well-off life is a realistic task for every helping cadre. We need to help the poor with wisdom. During our visit, we found that there are many special poor households on the road of poverty alleviation, including the elderly, the mentally handicapped, and the five guarantees who have no one to rely on. Some of their lives are lonely and make people feel sympathy, some do not see hope, some do not want to make progress, some wear worn-out clothes, open toe shoes, and some broken cans, which make people hate. Most of them have similar causes of poverty, However, they have diametrically opposite attitudes towards life. Some people are working hard with the help of the government, some are trying to rely on the government to support targeted poverty alleviation, some need material poverty alleviation, some need technical poverty alleviation, and more need ideological poverty alleviation, changes in life attitudes, and changes in family environment. The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the implementation of the Rural Revitalization and development strategy. The essence of Rural Revitalization is to make the countryside have the same modern characteristics as cities and industries. The main body of Rural Revitalization is people. Even if the material poverty has been lifted, the Rural Revitalization will be impossible without the participation of people with modern consciousness, modern thinking and modern ideas. With the rapid economic development and the continuous improvement of people's living standards, especially in poor areas, there are still some urgent problems to be solved in the people's views on poverty, wealth, life and happiness, which to some extent affect the good situation in the decisive stage of building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way. This reminds us that the targeted poverty alleviation work must also resolutely start the spiritual poverty alleviation battle.

Without needs, there is no poverty, and without examination, he also does not know poverty. Poverty is not just an economic concept, but more similar to basic civil rights and capabilities. Its essence is a poverty of rights and capabilities. Poverty is not simply caused by low income, but largely due to the lack of basic ability. Through detailed field investigation, we found that there were some poor households whose material life was not as short as expected, but they looked very poor. Their clothes were left in every corner of the house without planning, but they were naked in the cold winter; They can cook a meal and then eat a few leftovers; They can put aside the government's heating bills and endure the cold. This is a kind of lack of living ability, a kind of poverty with no planned attitude and concept. In doing so, most people think that I am poor. I can't eat enough and wear warm clothes. I must be a poor household. They don't have a correct concept of poverty. Their poverty is not really a bad life, but they don't want to manage their life under the existing wealth. They are fake poor households who are proud to be poor households. How can such a concept of poverty help the real poor.
2、 Spiritual poverty alleviation must help the masses in poor areas to establish a correct concept of becoming rich
At present, the fight against poverty has entered a crucial period of decisive battle and decisive victory. However, in the work of poverty alleviation, we have found that in some areas, there are still some poor households who are reluctant to get rid of poverty even if they meet the conditions for poverty alleviation. This kind of "lazy man" dependence seriously destroys the social atmosphere and is not conducive to the formation of a good social atmosphere in which everyone actively works and starts a business. They always feel that the government gives too little, does not help too much, has no sense of satisfaction, has no self-effort and self reflection, and always feels that they are poor and unhappy. Therefore, the poor must change from "I want to get rid of poverty" to "I want to get rid of poverty", and work hard on their own; Once the ambition is set up and the concept is updated, the method and drive to become rich will naturally exist. Only when we get rid of poverty and become rich can we have hope and happiness.
Due to the influence of cultural level, spiritual will, regional culture, customs, life behavior and other factors, the poverty situation in various regions varies greatly. On the one hand, material poverty intensifies spiritual poverty; On the other hand, spiritual poverty in turn increases the difficulty of getting rid of poverty, but there is no poverty that cannot be removed. To win the hard battle of getting rid of poverty, poverty is not terrible, but the terrible thing is that there is no ambition to get rid of poverty. To really get rid of poverty, we must achieve it through spiritual poverty. "Hard poverty" is hard to bite, and "soft poverty" is even harder to bite. The greater resistance encountered in the process of solving poverty often comes not from "hard poverty", but from "soft poverty". The poverty alleviation achievements, wisdom, skills and experience of poverty alleviation cadres are reflected in the work of solving "soft poverty". "Spiritual poverty alleviation" requires not only long-term perseverance, scientific and accurate poverty alleviation concept, but also specific analysis of specific problems.
